Abstract
This study attempted to provide more useful information on policy intervention beyond the simple causal relationship between these variables by examining the interchange model which assumes that socioeconomic status and life satisfaction of people with disabilities have mutual influence. To do this, 2,906 people except the missing data were analyzed using the 6th to 8th data of employment panel for the disabled. As a result of analysis, socioeconomic status and life satisfaction showed strong self regression effect, and mutual exchange relation between socioeconomic status and life satisfaction was confirmed. In addition, the variables such as whether basic living conditions, economic activities, and the type of home ownership, which were set as control variables, were found to be influential factors on socioeconomic status and life satisfaction. Based on the results of this study, we discussed the policy direction to increase socioeconomic status and life satisfaction of people with disabilities.
